Davidson
River

Description:
The Davidson
River is a beautiful mid-size stream that flows through Pisgah
National Forest and runs into the French Broad River near the
town of Brevard, NC. This river is one of our premier trout streams
and was even listed as one of Trout Unlimited’s 100 best
streams in the country. It is a typical mountain freestoner with
lots of pools, riffles, and runs. Most of the fish in the Davidson
are rainbows and browns with the occasional brook trout mixed
in. A large portion of this river is managed under catch and release
regulations and therefore the fish get a lot of pressure and can
be very picky and spooky. Fish very stealthily and you will have
the most success.
